Do I need a guide?
No. The driver-only day costs less, and your driver knows every stop. A guide adds two things: you are met at the terminal exit instead of walking 9 minutes to the meeting point, and the sights are explained by a state-licensed guide — worth it above all at Carthage, where the ruins say little without the story.
